Fuel Cost Calculator
Estimate fuel spending from consumption, annual mileage, and fuel price. Use metric L/100 km or switch to US MPG.
Calculate fuel cost
Enter your own values or switch units to match the data you have.
This calculator gives an estimate. Real fuel use depends on route, traffic, temperature, tires, load, and driving style.
How the fuel cost estimate works
The calculation multiplies fuel consumption by distance and fuel price.
Metric formula
For L/100 km, yearly cost is annual kilometers divided by 100, multiplied by consumption and fuel price per liter.
US formula
For MPG, yearly cost is annual miles divided by miles per gallon, multiplied by fuel price per gallon.
Using car specs
When a vehicle page includes fuel consumption data, Autotras can prefill this calculator from the selected trim.
Fuel cost questions
Quick notes for interpreting the estimate.
Should I use city, highway, or combined consumption?
Use combined consumption for a general estimate. Use city or highway if your driving is mostly one type of route.
Why can real fuel cost differ from the result?
Official consumption figures are measured in controlled conditions. Traffic, speed, cargo, tire condition, temperature, and driving style can all change real fuel use.
Can I calculate fuel cost with MPG?
Yes. Switch the calculator to US mode to use MPG, annual miles, and fuel price per gallon.
